Help with GMB verification and reverification
Whether you are claiming a profile for the first time or have been asked to verify again, start with the message shown in your account. We review the business details and explain the next steps for the options Google actually offers to your profile.
Google chooses the verification methods
Available methods depend on the business and can include video, phone, email or mail. We cannot unlock a different method or bypass verification. The owner stays involved and completes the required account steps. Keep passwords and verification codes private.
Prepare for video verification
If video is offered, we help you plan how to show the real business location, the equipment or services involved and your authority to manage it. A storefront and a service-area business may have different evidence to show. Follow the instructions presented in your account for recorded video or a live call.
When verification does not go through
We review any rejection message, check for inconsistent business details and help you understand the requested correction. Repeatedly changing information or submitting the same material without addressing the issue may not help. When appropriate, follow Google’s support route for the unresolved problem.
Verification or suspension?
A request to verify is not automatically a suspension. If the profile is explicitly suspended or disabled, a policy review and appeal may be needed. Our suspension assistance page explains that process. Verification does not guarantee a particular position in Search or Maps.
What do I need for the first conversation?
Share your business website, the verification options shown and the exact problem you encountered. Do not send passwords or codes. We can then discuss the assistance you need and confirm its scope before work begins. Google makes the final verification decision.
